New at Streetcar Charlie’s
There was a big promotion this week for Miss Melanie Minyon. Congratulations on your promotion to manager! With all the beautiful weather the doors have been opened and the sidewalk cafe is packed. Starting this past week was the GaYBOR Idols Contest. It will run for 10 weeks under the direction of Carlos Lopez. Every Monday night you can catch the Judy B. Goode Show there from 7 to 10 pm. You just never know what you’ll find at Spur’s Country Bar! From dance classes to BBQs, anything and everything happens at Spurs. Last Saturday night there was karaoke on the patio with leather guys to lesbians all having a great time together. Then on Sunday there was an 8 piece country band performing. All of this, plus Kevin & Jeff always making you feel at home with their famous shots.
Where do all these HOT leather guys come from? The Ybor Eagle hosted Leather Dance 2 and both floors were packed! DJ Greg Anderson was spinning on second floor while the dungeon was sweaty and electrified! The crowd of men were having such a GREAT time that nobody and we do mean nobody, wanted to leave at 3 am! The Parliament House, in association with Wanzie Productions, presents “Follow Jesus as IT Hits the Fan” in the Footlight Theater on Saturday, November 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th and Industry Night Monday, November 16th all at 8 pm. The Parliament House and Wanzie Productions team up with Excellent Adventure Productions to present, back by popular demand, “Mitzi Morris, New Girl in Town” a musical romp through the life and times of America’s favorite pancake hostess! The show is written by Kevin Kriegel and features John deHass on piano. Tickets are $10 and are available at Wanzie.com/BoxOffice. Lounge seating is very limited! Shows begin promptly at 6 pm on Sundays, November 8th, 15th and 22nd.
Pulse Nightclub in Orlando with its multi room format (including a fabulous patio) presents the Miss Pulse Pageant F.I. 2009 on Sunday, November 8th at 11 pm.

Going to Boston representing GaYBOR District Coalition at the National Gay & Leabian Travel Show is our own Brenda Holloway from Hampton Inn & Suites Ybor. Visiting and stopping by was backup singer to the singing duo of the Carpenters was David Cahalan. A full afternoon concert at Centro Ybor is planned for Santa Fest in Ybor City. Revolution Nightclub (375 South Bumby) will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary from November 16th thru the 22nd. According to owner Craig Meistel this will be a week filled with lots of fun and surprises!
