In the old days I used to drive all over the place for New Year’s Eve, but as I get older I have slowed down and I tend to just stay in Wilton Manors where I can walk around and go to lots of bars/clubs. Once again, Wilton Manors was packed, up and down the street, with Alibi and Village Pub being the busiest before midnight; after midnight the crowd shifted to the Manor which was one of the busiest I have ever seen it (the place was just jamming in every room) till at least 4 am, which was the time I pooped out and went home. I was also informed that Miami and All over Central Florida were also packed. So happy to know that our gay state is flourishing and season is here!

Pop music royalty, passionate philanthropist and super mom, Cyndi Lauper is definitely more than just a girl who wants to have fun. With a successful career that has spanned over three decades, the icon is opening up her unavoidably chaotic, often comical and truly multi-faceted life in WE tv’s newest original 12-part series Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual, premiering Saturday, January 12 at 9pm. Viewers will be treated to a brand new episode of Cyndi directly following the series premiere at 9:30pm. Each 30-minute episode gives viewers an all-access pass into the personal and professional life of one of pop culture’s most beloved and influential icons as she juggles her many roles, including rock star, mother, wife, Broadway composer, New York Times best-selling author and philanthropist. Considering Cyndi’s hectic schedule, her family life with her husband of 20 years, actor David Thornton (My Sister’s Keeper, The Notebook), and the couple’s 14-year-old son, Declyn, plays a role throughout the series as Cyndi struggles with the same issues all working mothers deal with: splitting time between work and family and giving adequate attention to both. whsf this hot 2 Her rock-star life may be a far cry from what most consider “normal,” however her attempt to manage her madness is surprisingly relatable. This season on Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual viewers will be along for one bumpy and entertaining ride as Cyndi launches the Broadway musical “Kinky Boots” with Harvey Fierstein; performs on NBC’s hit series The Voice, after nearly being forced to cancel because of problems with her voice; struggles to make a deadline on her epic autobiography; serves as Grand Marshall of the Pegasus Parade at the Kentucky Derby (where she drops a certain four-letter word on live television, much to the chagrin of her son); works tirelessly to raise funds for her True Colors charitable foundation and much more. While she may be constantly running to keep up, Cyndi’s true colors always shine through equally be it at a glamorous photo shoot or while cheering on Declyn at a hockey game.
