WHSF-bannerWHSF-rumorsOn Friday & Saturday night, the original Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus presented its 27th season finale Concert, “A Gala Old Time,” at the Museum of Art. Once again, the crowds were out to hear this wonderful chorus. Also on Friday night, I went to Rumors for the premier of their new Friday show starring Daisy Deadpetals and guests.

WHSF-BillsThis week’s guests were Athena Dion and Tayanna Love who put on a fun show (2 shows at approximately 11pm and 12 midnight). Saturday night was filled with many events starting in the afternoon when Boys Night Out presented a pool party at Depot as a benefit for Smart Ride. Later on that night, Bill’s presented their monthly D.I.L.F, which is a Levi/Leather event starring DJ Herbie James and lots of sexy hairy men. At the Manor, they featured the Coliseum Reunion Party, which was packed, and brought out lots of faces that I haven’t seen in a long time. Everybody remembers how fun the Coliseum was. In addition, in the Latin Room they featured, direct from Puerto Rico, the beautiful Lorna Vando who had the crowd screaming! In Doral, Solare Coliseum, featured, direct from RuPaul’s Drag race Season 5, Alyssa Edwards to the delight of the crowds!

The annual  Key West Pride was all weekend long and it  was as busy as usual.

Friday, June 14

South Florida Gay News and The Marlins come together for a baseball game promoting equality in sports which will benefit some South Florida LGBT organizations and Allied Youth programs. The Marlins Will be playing the St Louis Cardinals with ticket pricing starting at $20. There will be a social mixer from 5-6pm and game time is approx 7:10 pm. Filthy Gorgeous at Score presents Absolut Outrageous Masterpiece. Be part of the unveiling bottle by Sean Ritchwood which also includes outrageous entertainment all night long. Music & Videos by DJ Willy Gee and hosted by The Pennyback Boys.

Discotekka presents Waterworks 8.0, Foam and Water style party starting at 11 pm. The water will keep rising, and the foam will keep growing in this sure to be fun party that features DJs Renn Torino, Miik, Tony and Carlos G, with performances by Poizon Ivy, Vinna Rouge, Gina D’Angelo, Sasha Lords, Cherry Selene and the one and only TP Lords.

The Manor presents, direct from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4, finalist Phi Phi O’hara who will be performing in the Epic room and in the Latin room. The epic room will feature the music of Terrance Lalley and the latin Room and Patio by DJ Larry Larr with hostess Viva Mirage. 10:30 pm to 4 am with No Cover.

Score in association with Hilton Wolman presents Salvation “Oh Kitty” featuring the beats of NYC’s DJ Eddie Elias with a warm up set by DJ Alex Infiniti.

The South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble presents “From Sea To Shining Sea, the Music of American Composers” at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts at 7pm. Tickets are available at BrowardCenter.org or by calling 954-462-0222.

Score invites everyone to the Grand Opening of the their new weekly event “Deep Sundays” starring DJ Tpromix who will play a variety of Hip Hop, House, R&B and Reggae. NO COVER

Mova’s new location in Brickell (401 Southwest 3rd Avenue) will be featuring their Grand Opening at 4 pm with no cover and international DJ/Producer Theresa spinning.

The Alibi cordially invites everyone to the 16th annual Miss Alibi Turnabout Pageant, which is a fundraiser for the Human Rights Campaign. The Silent auction will be from 7:30-9:30 and the pageant starts at 9 pm. This is also the official opening party for the Stonewall Street Festival.

The Boardwalk, Victor Zepka, Corrie Boyd and the entire Boardwalk staff present a benefit for Florida’s own, Tiffany Arieagus as she recovers from a heart attack. The night will feature performances by Florida’s finest female impersonators, silent auctions, live auctions and lots of love for one of our own, so please come out and support!

The Broward Interfaith Clergy Collective introduces The Pride Inspirational Concert, an official kick-off event for Stonewall Summer Pride in honor of National HIV Testing Day at The Pride Center from 7-9pm. The event will feature Ray Boltz, Church of the Holy SpiritSong Praise Team, Jeremiah Cummings and Bishop S.F. Makalani-MaHee.
