Congratulations to Hotspots Magazine, which is now printed on recycled paper with green-friendly vegetable ink, on their 25 Year Anniversary! How do you celebrate 25 years of outstanding service to the GLBTA market? In a very big Hotspots way – that’s how! First, they held their annual holiday party in Fort Lauderdale with over 500 guests, including the mayor, in attendance. Then, Hotspots took their entire office and staff on a road trip. They chartered a Motorcoach from AlandChuck.Travel and were off to GaYBOR! Upon arrival Friday night, the group made their first stop at Hamburger Mary’s. After dinner and a show, the group checked into the Hampton Inn & Suites Ybor. Next, they took a short two block walk to Steam Fridays for two more shows. On Saturday, they spent the day ice skating, going to museums, attending an art show and exploring Ybor City. That night, they motorcoached it to The Queen & I Restaurant in St. Pete where they picked up a hitchhiking Christmas tree and were off to Georgie’s Alibi. They stopped at the Flamingo and then back to GaYBOR to dance the night away at G.BAR. On Sunday morning, they tried the new all-you-can-eat and drink Gospel Brunch at Hamburger Mary’s. Then it was off to the Orlando where they toured Mister Sister, Club Orlando (yes, with their clothes on) and Revolution. Then stayed overnight at the world famous Parliament House where I heard they all had a fab time at the T-Dance. Talk about a wild four day party! I heard through the grapevine that some of them are still sleeping three days later! Congratulation to our Hotspots Magazine family – let’s do it all again soon! Viva La GaYBOR!

Mary Turns One

To celebrate the one year anniversary of Hamburger Mary’s they did a Turn-about Party. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s a party where the girls all dress like guys and the guys dress like girls, then lipsync to their favorite songs. To say that some of them were just plain scary would be an understatement! All of the money raised at the event went to local charities. A new event at Hamburger Mary’s is the Sunday All-You-Can-Eat and Drink Brunch for just $12.95. What a fun way to start your Sundays! Every night there is something fun going on at Mary’s.

Bring in the New Year

Chelsea Club announced their New Year’s Eve Party. They have hired the band Article 7 and there won’t be a cover charge. There will be a free champagne toast at midnight, free parking, and heavy appetizers offered by Chef John. All you have to spend money on is the alcohol you drink and the food you eat – what better way to be who you are as you ring in the New Year. We sincerely hope you will join us, even if only to stop in and wish one another well!
