It’s finally Fall! With the (slightly—hey, we live in the Sunshine State, let’s be honest—it doesn’t cool off that much) cooler weather comes some really cool new films starring some major hotties. The sexy stars you will see in movies this season include Bradley Cooper, Taylor Lautner, Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig,  Adam Scott (one of my personal faves), James Marsden, Paul Rudd, Justin Timberlake, Kellan Lutz, Ben Affleck, Jude Law and Robert Pattinson. Here are some flicks you won’t want to miss!

 

Bachelorette
In Theaters Sept. 7

Becky (Rebel Wilson) is getting married and asks the members of her high school clique to join her in a bachelorette celebration. Craziness ensues. The snarky and hilarious film stars Kirsten Dunst as Regan, Lizzy Caplan as Gena and the always funny Isla Fisher. James Marsden and Adam Scott also star in the film, which is getting great buzz.

 


The Words
In Theaters Sept. 7
Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, Olivia Wilde and Zoe Saldana star in this  romantic drama about a writer who finally achieves success. Unfortunately, it’s for a novel he didn’t actually write. Will he get away with this deception without losing those around him?  

 

The Master

In Theaters Sept. 21
Paul Thomas Anderson’s (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, There Will Be Blood) latest film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Derm. The movie centers around a man who starts a religious organization that begins to catch on in America in 1952. The film follows the relationship between the Master and Freddie, the leader’s lieutenant.   

 

Trouble With The Curve

In Theaters Sept. 21
Clint Eastwood stars as Gus, one of the best scouts in baseball. His bosses are starting to question his judgment and Gus finds help from someone he never expected – his daughter played by Amy Adams. Justin Timberlake and John Goodman also star in the film.

 

Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel

In Theaters Sept. 21
This documentary follows the life of legendary and fabulous fashion editor of Harpers Bazaar, Diana Vreeland.

 

Looper

In Theaters Sept. 28
One of my major movie star crushes, Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Joe in this futuristic action thriller about time travel which takes place in 2072. In the movie, Joe is a “looper” a killer who time travels back 30 years to get rid of a target. Bruce Willis plays Joe’s future self. The film also stars Emily Blunt and Jeff Daniels.  

 

Pitch Perfect
In Theaters Oct. 5
Beca, played by Anna Kendrick, arrives at a new college and finds herself drawn into a clique of odd girls who are in an acapella singing group. She inspires the ladies to go from traditional tunes to modern mash-up and soon they enter the world of college singing group competitions. The movie is directed by Jason Moore, who brought us Avenue Q.

In Theaters Oct. 5
Liam Neeson is back as Bryan Mills, the CIA agent who hunts down baddies. In this sequel, his daughter, played by Maggie Grace, has to help rescue him when associates of the guys he killed in the first film come for revenge.

 

The Paper Boy
In Theaters Oct. 5
This erotic thriller is set in 1969 in a small town. It’s about a young man (the ever-so-dreamy Zac Efron) who returns home to assist his reporter brother in finding out the truth about a man on death row. Efron’s character ends of falling for the convict’s lover, played by Nicole Kidman, who, by the way, pees on him in the movie.  

 

Argo
In Theaters Oct. 12

Argo is based on true events and follows the covert operation to rescue six Americans, which happened behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis. The film stars Alan Arkin, Ben Affleck, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston.

 

Alex Cross
In Theaters Oct. 19
Tyler Perry stars as Alex Cross, the homicide detective/psychologist made popular in the best-selling novels by James Patterson. Cross gets caught in a psychological game with a serial killer played by Matthew Fox in this thriller.

Killing Them Softly
In Theaters Oct. 19
Brad Pitt plays Jackie Cogan, an enforcer who looks into a heist that happens during a poker game under protection of the mob. Sam Rockwell and James Gandolfini also star.

 

The Big Wedding
In Theaters Oct. 26
In this rom-com, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton) pretend to be a happy couple at their adopted son’s wedding because his conservative biological mother decides to fly halfway across the world to attend.  

 

Cloud Atlas
In Theaters Oct. 26

The latest film by the Wachowskis, the pair behind The Matrix, is a sci-fi epic starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Natalie Portman, James McAvoy, Susan Sarandon, Hugo Weaving, Jim Broadbent and Hugh Grant.

 

Skyfall
In Theaters Nov. 9
Daniel Craig is back as 007 in Skyfall. In the latest addition to the Bond franchise, the handsome hero’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her.  

 

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2
In Theaters Nov. 16

Although I am an admitted Twi-Hard, I am ready for this franchise to be over (as I’ve moved on to The Hunger Games). In this film, we see Bella (Kristen Stewart, the trampire who cheated on my beloved Robert Pattinson!) become a fierce vampire and she and the rest of the Cullen family come together to protect her daughter Renesmee from the Volturi.

 

Lincoln

In Theaters Nov. 16
Daniel Day-Lewis stars as Abraham Lincoln in this political film about the end of the Civil War. Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tommy Lee Jones also star in this powerful drama.
  

Anna Karenina
In Theaters Nov. 16
The classic Tolstoy novel, which has been made into several mini-series and films gets remade with Keira Knightley as Anna, and also stars Jude Law and Emily Watson.

 

Life of Pi

In Theaters Nov. 21
Director Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain) presents us with the film version of the bestseller about a young man who, after a disaster in the middle of the ocean, is thrown into a journey of adventure. He floats along on a lifeboat he shares with the ship’s only other survivor, a Bengal tiger.   

 

These amazing films will make the season memorable and get us ready for the holiday film season!
