I’ll be making my first trip down the southwest coast for the magazine this month, first as a guest at the Fabulous Independent Film Festival in Sarasota, and then down the coast to see some of the bars in Charlotte and Lee Counties. I’m happy to notice we have quite a few followers on the Suncoast…
What’s Hot Central Florida:
everything you need to plan your week
One thing I love about my job is that I get to meet so many fun people, see so many different places and do cool things. This August I’ve been running all over the place, first to Atlanta, and now I’m back in my territory, checking out what’s going on in Orlando. One thing has changed in Orlando since I visited last month; we have another advertising salesperson there! Her name is Beverly Edgar. Welcome, Beverly!
I’ll be making my first trip down the southwest coast for the magazine this month, first as a guest at the Fabulous Independent Film Festival in Sarasota, and then down the coast to see some of the bars in Charlotte and Lee Counties. I’m happy to notice we have quite a few followers on the Suncoast (in Sarasota and points beyond), many of whom read our magazine online at www.hotspotsmagazine.com.
Hopefully I’ll get to see you out and about soon enough! Lots of love to you all!

You may have read in Hotspots last week about the Swedish electropop duo Icona Pop’s visit to The Ritz Ybor on Sunday, August 18. It will be an all-ages performance and the show will start at 7 p.m.

At The Broken Tusk in St. Petersburg, there is going to be an August Birthday Glow Party. At 10 p.m. and 12 a.m., the Footlight Players will be presenting La Cage, and after the second show Derrick Barry will be performing. Stonewall Bar in Orlando is also holding a fundraiser for the GLBT Center. The theme of this party is “Scruff and Gruff Party on the Patio.” There will be a hot jock contest at 11 p.m., hosted by Master Stephen of SubmissivePleasures.com.
