Orlando will be especially busy this week and next week. First, we welcome bears from across Florida and further afield for the Orlando Bear Bash at the DoubleTree by Hilton on International Drive from September 26-29. Then, on October 1, John Waters will be appearing at The Abbey to kick off Come Out with Pride 2013. Be sure to get into the John Waters mood by attending Stonewall Bar’s “Cult and Kitsch” movie night (see the listings for September 30). Next week, Pride festivities will be in full swing, and I hope to see everyone out celebrating their pride at Lake Eola, Church Street, and other points across town. Lots of love to you all!
Thursday September 26
The excitement and decadence of Las Vegas is coming to Sawmill Resort in Dade City with their Sin City Gone Bad! weekend. Throughout the entire weekend, there will be Las Vegas-style entertainment, drag shows, casino games, and parties.

Today is National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and BarCodes Orlando is doing their part to help people be responsible and know their status. It is important to know your status; get tested at BarCodes.
Andrew Christian model Topher DiMaggio already made his mark on Tampa, so it only makes sense that this time he will grace his hotness on Orlando, and that he will do at Pulse’s Infusion Friday. DJ Power Infiniti will be in the main room and DJ Scott Robert will be in the Adonis Lounge where you can hear the house and pop hits of the ’80s and ’90s.
EDM trio Krewella (Jahan, Yasmin and Kris) has just released their first CD for Columbia Records, called Get Wet. Bradley’s on 7th in Tampa is having a CD release party for the group starting at 9 p.m. Different giveaways will be going on all night.

Jocelyn Summers heads up the new Diva Sunday Brunch at Hamburger Mary’s in Clearwater. It only started up at that location a couple of weeks ago, and I know Jocelyn is excited to impress the crowds just as she did in Ybor City. DJ Tony Waddell is in charge of music and showtimes are at 12 noon and 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m.; for reservations, call (727) 400-6996.
