We’re ending September, which means we’re coming up on a string of pride celebrations! October is going to be very busy, starting out with Jacksonville Pride the first weekend of the month. Then there’s an entire week of events the next week at Orlando Pride. The weekend after Orlando Pride is going to be busy too, with celebrations going on in Ocala and in Sarasota! Who says Pride is just for June anymore? I hope to see you around somewhere this October! Lots of love to you all!

 

Thursday September 25

Come to City Side in Tampa tonight for “OOOOO-69” bingo hosted by Miss Manny! Everyone knows I love bingo and Miss Manny knows how to keep the crowd energized. There’s a special surprise for the crowd when “O-69” is called. Want to know what it is? You have to be here to find out! Bingo starts at 10 p.m.

 

Friday September 26

WHCF_Shannel_FridayAs you are well aware, the Fridays are a Drag promotion has been a very popular addition to Parliament House‘slineup, and they continue the theme this week by bringing Shannel to Orlando. You may remember Shannel from RuPaul’s Drag Race season one and RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars, where she made it to the final episode. She will be performing with the acclaimed Footlight Players at 10 p.m. and midnight. There is no cover before 11 p.m.

The Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg has gone country! You are cordially welcomed to the Flamingo County Fair, which starts today and goes on until Sunday. Tonight there’s the Flamingo Hoedown, starting at 7 p.m. in the Blu room, followed by a Best Little Wh-rehouse in Texas show at 11 p.m. On Saturday there’s a Country Showcase, featuring country dancers, at 11 p.m. and midnight. Finally, on Sunday there’s a sexy cowboy contest and a country music drag show!

Florida Leather and Fetish Pride Weekend is coming to Sawmill Resort in Dade City! Starting today and going on through Sunday, this weekend will be chock full with events such as pool games, contests, shopping via a vendor area, demonstrations and fun at a nighttime social area! The Tampa Leather Club and representatives from the Florida Puppy Contest, the Mid-Florida LeatherSIR Leatherboy Contest, and the Mr. Code Florida Leather contests will all be in attendance. Saturday September 27

Saturday Guests at Parliament HouseJoey Brooks, the First Lady of Ybor City, welcomes two special out of town guests tonight at Bradley’s on 7th in Tampa! Her first guest comes from Columbia, South Carolina; it’s Dorae Saunders! Her second guest is in town from Jacksonville: she’s our current Miss Florida F.I., Brittany Moore. All three of them will be performing tonight in two shows, at 11:30 p.m. and 1:15 a.m. Don’t forget, there’s never a cover at Bradley’s!

Get your Disney fix with a twist tonight at Parliament House in Orlando. This weekend’s theme is “Tragic Kingdom,” where we’re promised to see the “dark side of the magic.” The Footlight Players will be presenting the show “Phantasmic!“at 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. Disney theme park cast members get in free with their ID card. DJ Brianna Lee will be providing the music all night long.

The last Saturday of every month is leather night at BarCodes in Orlando. Master Stephen from Submissive Pleasures hosts the event every month, which includes a play area and many fun live demonstrations. Just let him know if you’d like to volunteer to help! You can arrive at 9 p.m. when the event starts or even earlier; after all, BarCodes opens at noon every day of the week!

 

Sunday September 28

Hamburger Mary's in TampaHamburger Mary’s Tampa plays host to the Miss East Coast Large & Lovely Pageant, a preliminary pageant leading up to the National Large & Lovely Pageant. Star Montrese Love will be crowning her successor at the end of this event. Past national titleholders Jocelyn Summers, Delores Van Cartier, and Dorae Saunders will also be on hand for this year’s coronation! Over $1400 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the winner. The pageant starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Contact Delores for more information.
