The Pride Center at Equality Park, with the help of the City of Wilton Manors, will be presenting their fourth annual “Evening in Paradise” fundraiser. The host venue for this enchanting evening is the Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve (1937 Wilton Dr.). The festivities will take place on Saturday, February 21 starting at 7 p.m. This year, the theme is “Mykonos: Gods & Goddesses.” Be sure to pull out your toga from the closet and be prepared to show yourself off as the god or goddess you really are!

This evening is a fundraiser to support The Pride Center and the large number of services and programs it offers to the LGBT community in Broward County. It will also benefit the City of Wilton Manors and their Island City Foundation, which manages sponsorships for the cultural, educational and social events that happen throughout the year in the city (including, but not limited to, gay pride in June).

During this event, The Pride Center promises that guests will be delighted and entertained by bringing the mystique and the allure of Greece right here to South Florida. They also say that this evening will be a treat for all five senses, as attendees will enjoy a variety of Greek-themed food and drinks, music, decorations, cute bartenders, “gods and goddesses” walking about. Experience the Greek Isles and spend an evening in paradise.

Tickets are available for purchase right now by going to pridecenterflorida.org. General admission tickets cost $125 per person, but “next gen” tickets (for people ages 18-35) are discounted to $50 per person.

Sponsors of Evening in Paradise: Mykonos, Gods & Goddesses include Wells Fargo, the Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, and Alpine Jaguar.
