I saw Kathy Griffin at The Lakeland Center last week and she was phenomenal. Nearly her entire set consisted of new material, and everyone was in stitches. I brought Kathryn Nevets, your current reigning Miss National Comedy Queen, who dressed up just like Kathy! People even wanted to take selfies with Kathryn to remember their Kathy Griffin experience! Thank you Kathy for a wonderful time and thank you Kathryn for being my date! You can see Kathryn at Club Main Street every week. Lots of love!

Joey Brooks, the First Lady of Ybor City, will be hosting the amateur strip contest tonight at Bradley’s on 7th in Tampa with one of my dear friends, Nairobi D’Viante. Everything begins at midnight, and the winner of the contest will walk away with $200 in cash! Joey also has a fun lineup planned for this weekend’s drag shows: on Friday she will be performing with Esme Russell and Felicity Lane, and on Saturday she will be performing with Dulce Andrews and Dana Douglas. Weekend shows start at 11:30 p.m. and 1:15 a.m.
Nothing sends me into a tizzy quite like hearing the words “bare as you dare.” If you’re a fan of the “bare as you dare” evenings at Sawmill Resort in Dade City, you’ll be happy to know that “bare” is the hot buzzword this entire weekend! This weekend, “Naked in the Woods“, will consist of some fun events such as a moonlight trail party, a body paint contest, and an amateur strip contest! Hot! Reserve your cabin now: (352) 583-0664.
Friday May 8
Enigma in St. Petersburg will be celebrating their first anniversary with a special night of fun! First, Daphne Ferraro and her friends will perform two drag shows, and there may be some special guests joining in on the fun! There will also be some very cool giveaways. Be sure to get there in the 8 o’clock hour because the party will start early and go on through the night.
Southern Nights in Orlando presents the “Tops vs. Bottoms” party, a variation on the popular “stop light” parties. Tonight, if you’re a top, wear white; if you’re a bottom, wear black; and if you like both, wear both colors. There are two drag shows, at 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., featuring Roxxxy Andrews, Maya Andrews, Tasha Long and Chevelle Brooks. There is also a “hot spot” with Nazhoni at 1:15 a.m. Music by DJ Ants and Walter Winston.

Parliament House in Orlando is hosting a superhero party this weekend, and I know it’s going to be a crowd pleaser. The party is called “Gotham” and superhero attire is optional, but strongly recommended. Why is that? Because they’re having a costume contest and the cash and prizes are valued at $1000! The Footlight Players will be performing two shows, at 10 p.m. and midnight. Music by DJ Brianna.
Sunday May 10
Happy Mother’s Day! One way you can enjoy this beautiful day with your mother is by taking her to the Mother’s Day Brunch at Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg! Come for the food, stay for the sun, swimming, cocktails, and entertainment (provided by Alexis de la Mer, host of the tea dance that comes after brunch)! Spend a special day with your mother and all of your family at the Flamingo.
Throb in Sarasota is hosting an all-request night! Billboard Magazine reporting DJ Greg Anderson has a veritable archive of hits from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, so make a list and be sure to request all of your classic favorites! Conundrum will be hosting the diva drag contest at midnight. Audience applause will determine the winner, who will get $100 in cash!
