Life in Color Returns Home to the Central Florida Fairgrounds

September 6

The Life in Color Festival, billed as “the world’s largest paint party,” tours the world many times over each year, but it was in Orlando where the phenomenon began. Nearly ten years ago, the University of Central Florida hosted events called DAYGLOW, combining day-glow paint, hi-NRG music, and a fun atmosphere. Now the worldwide hit is returning to the City Beautiful for a special show at the Central Florida Fairgrounds (4603 W. Colonial Dr.) on Sunday, September 6, LifeinColor_adbeginning at 4 p.m.

The event’s theme this year is “The Big Bang: The Creation of Color.” New to the Life in Color touring production is the “Paint Factory,” a vibrant experience which seeks to tell, through paints and colors, how the universe was created.

Life in Color is a festival that brings people who love hi-NRG dance music together in the spirit of fun, creativity, and paint. The headliners for this event are Showtek, Henry Fong, and TroyBoi. Showtek is an electronic dance music act featuring two brothers from the Netherlands: Sjoerd Janssen and Wouter Janssen. Working together for over 15 years, they have partnered with such legends as Tiësto, Hardwell, and Chris Brown. Henry Fong is a DJ originally from Jupiter in Palm Beach County. He calls Los Angeles his home now, and the single “Velocity,” which features the British trio Futuristic Polar Bears, is playing in clubs now. TroyBoi, from south-east London, is an eclectic DJ and music producer who samples multiple genres in one song in a unique melange he calls “#MyStyle.” DJs and music producers Big Makk and Luccio will also be heard at various times throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

Tickets can be purchased via ticketfly.com and start at $30 for general admission. The “Survivor Ticket” is the VIP package for this event; it is priced at $75 and includes an official Life in Color survival bag, a T-shirt, a voucher for a free bottle of paint, and express entry into the Fairgrounds.
