The bar named TRAX is located in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood and according to the owner the attacks are a form of hate vandalism.
Police said hateful graffiti, including an anti-gay slur and threatening language, was spray-painted on the back wall of TRAX on Martin Street early Monday morning. Bar owner Steven Kiss told News 2 a similar incident happened just two days earlier.
TRAX has long served as a welcoming space for Nashville’s LGBTQ community. Kiss said the vandalism is costly but will not intimidate him or the business. Neighbors called the incident shocking for the usually peaceful area. Metro police said there are no cameras covering the rear of the building, and the investigation remains ongoing.
