He is equally well known for his handsome looks as he is for his underage start and his bareback films.

However, this actor, who is turning 24 in October, has redefined his life and is on a path to major success. Not only did he start his own porn production company in which he produces only safe films, he has also ventured into his true love of writing and feature film acting. He has had roles in Gus Van Sant’s “Milk,” “The Big Gay Musical,” “Judas Kiss” and “Sister Mary” with Bruce Vilanch and has written a book.

When asked about his early days of film, Brent says, “Everything my production company has filmed has been protected. It’s frustrating when you put destructive behavior behind you but people continue to assume you’ve never made that change in your life. My unprotected film was filmed years ago, when I was 17 and 18 years old. At the time I had no interest or concern for making a career out of my adult work. I was just working to support myself as a young person. I had no interest in being a role model and never had any clue people could look at my behavior and want to emulate it. I was struggling to get by. I was also uneducated about how real the risks I was taking were. As I got older and developed my first adult company, I made it my prerogative to open up dialog with young people about safe sex and the importance of it. I’ve given lectures, filmed safer sex PSAs with organizations out of the USA and taken every opportunity to ensure people are aware of my position on the issue. Many people have protested my promotion of safer sex practices citing my past in bareback porn. As a teenager I made some key mistakes in my life. I know what it’s like to feel the regret and uncertainty afterwards. I can relate to a lot of young people who are conflicted about the use of protection every time. I understand the temptation. But just because we’ve made mistakes at times in our lives does not mean we are resigned to forever continue to make them.”

Meet and greet Brent this Sunday, September 5th at Johnny’s. Get your autographed photo and DVD from 10 pm to 1am.
