Last Thursday was the grand opening of Johnny’s in Miami Latin Night and it was a huge success with performances by Marytrini and Teresita with DJ Lannier Alvarez on the turntables. Friday was the much anticipated 2nd annual Broward Bares it, a benefit for Broward House at Paradise Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The show started promptly at 8 pm and featured many fabulous acts all to raise much needed money for Broward oldest HIV/AIDS organization. Sidelines Sports Bar recently held the second round of its Summer Cook-Off Competition in which the best recipe for chicken wings was the challenge of the day. The esteemed panel of judges selected Robin Rotellini’s chicken wing recipe as the 1st Place winner and Steve Scott was voted as the 2nd Place winner. Both Robin and Steve’s recipes now earn them eligibility for the final round of the contest, to take place over Labor Day weekend on Monday, on September 5, 2011. The “People’s Choice Award”, as selected by the attending Sidelines’ patrons, went to Robin Rotellini as well.
