A Spectacular Night at the Museum of Science & Discovery

Tuesday December 4th promises to be a very special day for Hotspots Media Group as we will host our 5th Annual Holiday Celebration, a benefit for two organizations that work so hard in the gay community; Broward House and The Pride Center. Hotspots has elevated the profile of the event this year, changing the venue to the incredible Museum of Discovery & Science, Fort Lauderdale, a treasure to the South Florida community. This will be the first event of its kind at the museum, and Hotspots is very proud to have the opportunity to work with Broward House, The Pride Center, and the museum to bring provide such a wonderful night for our friends.

Since beginning the Holiday Celebration 5 years ago the purpose has been to come together in the spirit of unity to enjoy the success of the Gay Community at large, and to give back to the community in every way that we can and help businesses succeed. While there is never a sales pitch or a hidden agenda at the Holiday celebration, Hotspots Media Group will be quietly unveiling its newest brand which you will be the first to see. The event has grown every year and has seen some very special guests, from Senators and other elected officials from across the state, to amazing talent like Valery Harper,  the Kinsey 6, a comedy troupe from New York City, and  America’s Got Talent finalists “Wreckless.”  This year the Holiday Celebration continues the tradition, and we are very proud to announce that American Idol finalist Kimberly Locke will perform at this special engagement.

So many businesses in our community have given of their time and resources to help make this amazing event happen. Thanks to the event sponsor Diageo, purveyors of such brands as Kettle One, Smirnoff, and Jonnie Walker.  The Holiday Celebration will be open bar, with a signature cocktail that if purchased will  include a chance to win a signature diamond courtesy of Argenti Jewelers, and the winner will be chosen THAT NIGHT. Besides the diamond and the finest libations, there will also be a silent auction with fantastic prizes worth thousands of dollars. Like the ticket sales, 100% of proceeds from the auction will benefit Broward House and Pride Center.

The Museum of Science & Discovery will be closed to the general public, so we will have exclusive access to specific areas of the museum. Curators will be on hand and many of the exhibits will be open to guests including the virtual airboat ride. There will be a unique opportunity to interact with the animals that are featured in the museum. From otters (let’s be clear here, the four legged kind.) to reptiles, this will be a chance to get up close and personal with an animal or two, and experience what the museum has to offer. Entrance to all available exhibits and entertainment is covered in the cost of the ticket, as well as open bar, and hors d’oeuvres. Ticket sales are being handled by Broward House and Pride Center, so all money will be put to good use right away.

Make sure you arrive early, as the surprise will start right away. There is plenty of parking very close to the museum including the Entertainment District garage, with easy automated pay centers for your convenience. Advanced tickets are on sale now at www.hotspotscelebration.com for $45. If tickets are still available, they can also be purchased at the door for $50. Everyone always talks about how much they love this “not to be missed event” so please join us for an unforgettable night on December 4th. We can’t wait to celebrate the “Spirit of the Season” and support Broward House and The Pride Center.
