One of the largest antique shows in the world is returning to the Miami Beach Convention Center. The Original Miami Beach Antique Show celebrates its 54th year this year and organizers have brought in tens of thousands of unique pieces of art, jewelry, furniture, and other items for the home from all over the world. Some of the special events going on during the Antique Show include an appraisal day, featuring expert appraisers from Skinner, Inc. An “Antiques Roadshow” type of experience, the Skinner Company has specialized in auctions and appraisals for over 40 years and has been featured in over 60 different antiques shows worldwide. You can bring your item to be appraised on Saturday, January 31 between noon and 6 p.m. in the Convention Center Room D-234. Another series of events that bring in the crowds are the “Booth Talks” seminars. Topics this year include the Miami Design Preservation League and their journey over the past four decades to preserve Miami Beach’s 100 years of artifacts.
