The Original Miami Beach Antique Show

One of the largest antique shows in the world is returning to the Miami Beach Convention Center. The Original Miami Beach Antique Show celebrates its 54th year this year and organizers have brought in tens of thousands of unique pieces of art, jewelry, furniture, and other items for the home from all over the world. All of these items will be on display across 8,000 square feet of space at the Convention Center starting Friday, January 30, through Tuesday, February 3.

Some of the special events going on during the Antique Show include an appraisal day, featuring expert appraisers from Skinner, Inc. An “Antiques Roadshow” type of experience, the Skinner Company has specialized in auctions and appraisals for over 40 years and has been featured in over 60 different antiques shows worldwide. You can bring your item to be appraised on Saturday, January 31 between noon and 6 p.m. in the Convention Center Room D-234. Another series of events that bring in the crowds are the “Booth Talks” seminars. Topics this year include the Miami Design Preservation League and their journey over the past four decades to preserve Miami Beach’s 100 years of artifacts. Antique shops from all over the world will be presenting their items to a crowd that is expected to surpass 10,000 this year. Over a hundred businesses from South and Central Florida will be on hand, in addition to representatives from antique shops as far flung as New York City, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, London, Antwerp, Milan, Tel Aviv, Dubai and Tokyo. Whether you are looking for a special piece to sit on your mantle at home, or you’re looking to decorate your house with period furniture and artwork from as far back as the 16th century, all of these items can be found here, and exhibitors are willing to sell them to antique aficionados at reasonable rates.

Tickets can be purchased right now and cost $20 each. Each ticket is valid for all five days of the antique show. Organizers ask that you print out your ticket beforehand and present it for entry. Convention Center hours during the show are noon to 8 p.m. every day except the final day, when the show will close at 5 p.m.
