What's Hot South Florida

On Thursday night, World Outgames Miami held a benefit at the Platinum and Olympic medalist Daniel Lleyva showed up to support (and he didn’t even tell me in advance he was going to be there…LOL). Congrats to Norm, Mike T and their entire staff on turning 5. On Friday, The Boardwalk featured the Mr. Florida Hookies, and congrats to this year’s winner Mario Costa. Also on Bubble Gum Fridays at the Manor celebrated their 4th anniversary to a once again packed house. On Saturday My TropiXXX hosted their annual Valentines Fashion show starring Velvet LeNore and hot models at Village Pub at 7om and I couldn’t believe how busy the bar was so early. Also that night the Sunshine Cathedral presented as part of their Performing Art Series, Internet sensation Steve Grand. On Sunday, there was this fabulous Katy Perry concert on TV and surrounding it was some sports game…LOL! Congrats to the New England Patriots for once again winning the biggest game in Football!

Last week HotSpots and SFGN hosted the National Equality Publishers Association conference in Fort Lauderdale.  The meeting brought together LGBT Publishers from virtually every major city in America to discuss topics of common interest.  Special guests included Stuart Milk of the Harvey Milk Foundation, Robert Boo, and business leaders representing various LGBT chambers from across Florida.  Thank you to the NEPA Leadership Team for sharing the vision and uniting our communities!
