The first is a “casino night” fundraiser, presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which will be held at Sidelines Sports & Video Bar on Saturday, July 18 starting at 7 p.m. The second event is a summer concert, performed by the 52-member New River Orchestra, at Sunshine Cathedral on Sunday, July 26 at 4 p.m.
Sidelines will be turning the bar into a mini-casino, offering Texas Hold ‘Em Poker and blackjack games for everyone’s enjoyment. The buy-in will be $25 for $2000 in chips. All money raised will be directly donated to Poverello. In addition, there will be a raffle and a silent auction, with all
The New River Orchestra will be performing a summer concert and all ticket sales will benefit Poverello. The 52-member orchestra will perform selections from such well-known classical and modern composers as Fuchs, Grieg, Marquez, Rodrigo, Piazzola, and Chabrier. Sofiya Uryvayeva will perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” Tickets are available for purchase now and they cost $18 per person.
