“Two of a Kind” Concert Benefiting the Stonewall National Museum and Archives

Sanctuary Second Presbyterian Church, Fort Lauderdale

Sunday, September 13

Brent Kuenning and Steven Geyer are well-known singers who made names for themselves on Broadway in New York City. Their cabaret act, “Two of a Kind,” will be making an appearance in South Florida very soon! They will be performing at the Sanctuary Second Presbyterian Church (1400 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale) on Sunday, September 13 at 7 p.m. Their concert also serves as a fundraiser for the Stonewall National Museum and Archives.2ofaKind_ad

“Two of a Kind” is a very successful cabaret act that has performed across the country. The duo is comprised of best friends Brent Kuenning and Steven Geyer, who are both triple threats — dancers, actors and singers. They have been best friends for a number of years and they attribute part of their success to being so in tune with one another; they have very similar tastes in music, they share the same family background, and have similar life experiences.

The show they will be performing in Fort Lauderdale is called “Swing, Sing and Soul.” The show focuses on famous male duos throughout the years, specifically focusing on the legends of the 1950s and 1960s. Their show will remind the concertgoers of “the greats” such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, Johnny Mercer and Bobby Darin, and Rat Pack favorites like Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis, Jr.

Stonewall National Museum and Archives is thankful to Dr. Steven O. Evans and the Second Sanctuary Presbyterian Church for making this benefit possible. Funds raised at the concert will allow the museum to continue offering top-notch exhibits which teach the public about LGBT history. While it is free to attend, a suggested donation of $10, which will go directly to Stonewall, is kindly requested.
