10th Annual Leather Masked Ball

Rumors Bar and Grill
Saturday, November 28

The Leather Masked Ball is one of the most popular events on the south Florida social calendar in the month of November, and it is one of the largest charity events organized by the leather/BDSM community in the state of Florida. The Leather Masked Ball celebrates its tenth v3047_197anniversary this year, and with edgy entertainment and red hot leathermen ready to greet you, this special anniversary will delight everyone in attendance. Rumors Bar and Grill (2426 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors) will open its doors to hundreds of Leather Masked Ball partygoers at 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 28.

The event organizers, Lambda Men’s Brotherhood, describes this year’s ambience thusly: “Come out and celebrate our 10th anniversary – you’ll be BOUND to have a red hot leather night!” DJ Chris Racine, well-known in both Fort Lauderdale and in Provincetown, will be spinning some of his best remixes for the crowd. There will also be live BDSM demonstrations for the initiated or just curious.

As a fundraiser, the Lambda Men’s Brotherhood donates proceeds raised by the Leather Masked Ball to national and local charities. Since 2006, over $150,000 has been raised in the name of charity. The designated national beneficiary is the Leather Archives and Museum. This national organization maintains a museum in Chicago as well as online and traveling exhibits. This year’s local beneficiaries are Gilda’s Club, Grateful Paws Pet Rescue, and the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus.

Tickets are available for purchase online ($40), at various local businesses ($40), and at the door on the night of the event ($45). The prices quoted are for the all-access pass, which gives the ticketholder admission into the Leather Masked Ball, two complimentary drinks, and finger foods courtesy of Hobo’s Grill. Tickets can be purchased by going to leathermaskedball.org or by visiting Rumors Bar and Grill or LeatherWerks (1226 NE 4th Ave.).

Hotspots Media Group is proud to be a media sponsor of the Leather Masked Ball. For more information, visit leathermaskedball.org.
