Scandals presents their 2nd annual Turn About with show time at 8pm starring the Scandals bunch: Warren, Alex, Verandah, Billy, Howard (as Alice), Sally, Rick, Jessica, and Vanity. The nights proceeds to benefit Joel Gravelle. 

The Pride Factory is featuring one of their famous sales where the more you spend, the more you save from today through Wednesday, January 29. If you spend $50 you save $5, and if you spend $100, you save $15. 

Based on the academy award winning film of 1967, Empire Stage Theater presents “The Graduate.” Benjamin Braddock has just finished college and, back at his parents’ house, he’s trying to avoid the one question everyone keeps asking: What does he want to do with his life? An unexpected diversion crops up when he is seduced by Mrs. Robinson, a bored housewife and friend of his parents. But what begins as a fun tryst turns complicated when Benjamin falls for the one woman Mrs. Robinson demanded he stay away from, her daughter, Elaine. Outlandish Performance Series presents the one and only Margaret Cho with two shows: 7pm and 9:30pm. Margaret has been one of the most exciting, unpredictable stand-up comics working for some time. If anything, the Asian-American female comedian’s voice has become more valuable than ever, given today’s social climate, and cho’s material remains just as compelling, thanks in part to – and sometimes in spite of – her unapologetic delivery. The Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood presents Steve Martin & Martin Short. They bring their “The Funniest Show in Town at the Moment” to South Florida for one performance. Martin and Short’s humor is often subversive, but it is always a joyous self-deprecating romp from two comedy masters driven to make each other laugh as much as the audience.  The jokes come at you at a rapid-fire pace with little set-up and big punch lines as they mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity, but the comedy truly soars when they lovingly (and relentlessly) roast each other.The show starts at 8pm and tickets are $45 to $135 at: Seminolehardrockhollywood.com/events.

The Manor Complex presents a special event starring international iconic DJ Oscar G in the Ballroom. The night will also feature shows, novelty acts and dancers. In the Ivy Dance Room and Windsor Lounge, is Noche Latina Saturdays. This week catch special guests Noel Leon and Champagne Bordeaux along with DJ Larry Larr and Go-Go Papi’s. Saturdays at the Manor are from 11pm to 4am and feature No Cover before midnight for FL Res. After Midnight admission is only $7 for members and $10 for non-members (18-20 – $12 all night).

Tonight at 8pm is the 62nd annual GRAMMY’s on CBS. This award is presented by The Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry. The annual show features performances by the hottest artists on the scene. It is considered one of the four major annual American entertainment awards along with the Academy Awards (film), the Emmy Awards (television), and the Tony Awards (theater and Broadway). Will this year’s sensations: Billie Eilish and Lizzo take home trophies? Only one way to find out! 

The Pub presents “Joyful Noise: A Celebration of Gospel Music” hosted by RaeJean Cox, Candy Cox and Nancy Ross along with Charlie V. Carter, Velvet LeNore, and Verandah Lanai at 7pm.

Wednesday, January 29

Georgie’s Alibi/Monkey Bar and Stephen Tendrich present their annual “Pink Nail Society: Give Prostate Cancer the Finger,” with this year’s theme: 80’s Prom. This is a benefit, and will feature entertainment from 6-11pm, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, a photo booth and a VIP from 6-8pm ($20). 

Four-time Grammy Award-nominated, record-breaking multiplatinum rock band, Goo Goo Dolls come to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood at 8 pm. Tickets cost $130, $90, $70 and $50. at Myhrl.com

Following a fun-filled 2019 season, weekly backgammon play returns to Coral Gables in 2020. Play live games, matches, chouettes and tournaments with a friendly bunch of South Florida backgammon fans. Southern-born comedian, writer and actress Fortune Feimster is back with her first hour-long Netflix original comedy special, Fortune Feimster: Sweet & Salty. The comedian recalls her childhood misadventures as a former Girl Scout, debutante and (disqualified) swim meet champion; her family’s complicated relationship with Hooters; and how a movie helped her realize she was a lesbian.
