Kory Burns Performs Hunters on Thanksgiving Eve

Boca’s own Kory Burns will steam up the dancefloor at Hunters in Wilton Manors on Wednesday, November 24 when he performs “Sex in Miami”, his danceable new R&B pop track. He wrote the song with Carlos Battey, a Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer and Sean McMillion, best known for his work with Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Snoop Dog. McMillion also produced the track.

“The overall message of ‘Sex in Miami’ is that you should live your best life,” Burns says.   “And when you’re in Miami, that should include some wild, nasty, safe, and of course, consensual sex!”

We spoke with Kory from his home.

Is sex your idea of perfect happiness?

Kory Burns: No, love is. Sex is just the best added bonus anyone could ever ask for.

What is the quality you most like in a hook-up?

Kory Burns: The energy. If I feel the right energy from the other person, it makes me put in that much more work and its game over. If not, hit it and quit it.

How does that differ from a potential long-term partner?

Kory Burns:  I want a real love connection. I want to be attracted to more than just your body.

Are you ready to settle down with the right person?

Kory Burns:  I’m as single as a dollar bill right now so I don’t think I have the option.

What makes Kory Burns a catch?  Don’t be bashful!

Kory Burns: I’m one of a kind. Yea, I’m loyal, funny, have a personality, not lazy, adventurous and beyond loving but there’s so much more! However, that is just for me and whoever has my attention at the moment.

How would you rate yourself in the bed?

Kory Burns: Honestly, it comes down to how much I’m into you. Some people get a full soul shaking experience that last hours while others just get me for a quick few before I dip, not even worried about if you finished. I’m always a ten outta ten, though (laughing).

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Kory Burns: My eating habits. It sounds cliché but I’m serious. No matter how many personal trainers and meal prep companies I’ve had or worked with, I always seem to end right back up in every fast food line. Honestly, it might be all the weed but I refuse to acknowledge that part.

Where is a place that you would like to try having sex at?

Kory Burns: I’m ready to join the mile high club.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse in bed?

Kory Burns: I don’t really have words I over use. But I love making the other person scream theirs.

What is your most treasured possession?

Kory Burns: A special pin given to me by someone who I know is watching over me today.

What can fans expect at your Hunters show?

Kory Burns: Expect fun and sexiness! I will have a couple of dancers on stage with me, too.

What do you love most about your new song, “Sex in Miami”?

Kory Burns:   I love everything about it. The vibe, the lyrics… it’s a playful, fun, sexy song. It’s not made to make you feel anyway except sexual and people love feeling sexual!

Kory Burns performs “Sex in Miami” at Hunters (2232-2238 Wilton Dr, Wilton Manors) on Wednesday, November 24 (Thanksgiving Eve).  “Sex in Miami” is available now on Spotify and Apple Music.  Its remix by Grammy Award-winning producer Tracy Young is also available.  Follow Kory Burns on Instagram.
