The City of Oakland Park invites everyone to enjoy live performances of Funk, Motown, and Soul hits by The Khemistry Band at Soul Fest! Wigwood is South Florida’s annual queer performance festival – featuring all types of drag performances, DJs, and vendors. Today’s event will be a daytime rooftop pool party at the brand new and luxurious Arlo hotel in Wynwood (2217 NW Miami Ct) from 3-7pm. Monday, February 6

Compass Community Center presents the annual Miss Palm Beach Pride Pageant at the Lakeworth Playhouse at 7pm. The pageant is hosted by the Queen of the Palm Beaches Velvet Lenore and the First Lady of the Palm Beaches Melissa St. John, and honoring Miss Palm Beach Pride Crystal Famouz. Wednesday, February 8

Visit Lauderdale presents “Fashion Reaction – Best In Show” to benefit the non-profit ArtsUnited at Hunters Nightclub, 2232-2238 Wilton Drive, with doors opening at 6pm and the show beggining at 7pm. Tickets are $50 and include one Fashion Reaction signature drink, hors d’oeuvres by Joymob Hospitality and the fun show. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com/e/510937687377. International fashion designers who live locally and will be featured are Chris Lopez, Daniela SV Art, and Project Runway Season 17 Winner Sebastian Grey. Singer, actor, musician and emcee for the evening is Alexander Zenoz, who will entertain the audience, introduce the three designers and moderate a Q&A.

Thursday, February 9

Lips presents “A Night of Stars” the official Smart Ride kick off fundraiser to benefit Smart Ride 20. The event starts at 7pm and is hosted by Amanda Austin with special guest Michael Dean as Cher, and celebrity servers Jeff Delmay, Larry Davanzo, Will Portalatin, Laughton Droze and Mike Deleon. The cost is $60 for a three course dinner and show and $80 for VIP which includes premium seating and a cocktail.

Friday, February 10

Pride Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors Entertainment Group in association with Alibi, Hunters, The Wilton Manors Business Association, and Sterling Accounting present “Pride on the Drive” in the Shoppes of Wilton Manors from 6-11pm. On the Alibi side it’s a Pridefete takeover with Caribbean Music and Talent, Food Trucks, and Masquerade Dancers. On the Hunters side, they will be featuring the talents of Thunderpuss for your dancing pleasure.

The Venue Fort Lauderdale LIVE (2345 Wilton Drive) is excited to present American R&B singer, songwriter, and dancer, Ginuwine will be performing live in concert on tonight. This is the perfect way to kick off Valentine’s Day weekend with your significant other or with your Galentines. Saturday, February 11

Pride of the America’s presented by Visit Lauderdale presents their parade at 12 noon, with the festival from 1-9pm at Las Olas Promenade Park (80 Las Olas Circle). The festival will feature DJ’s Manny Lehman and Paulo and the headliner at 7:30pm is the one and only Boy George. In addition there will be lots of vendor booths, food trucks, libations, and nonstop entertainment from open to close. For more info go to: Prideoftheamericas.org.

The official after-party for Pride of the America’s takes place at The Manor Complex, where the entire club will be open. In The Crystal Ballroom they feature DJs Isis Muretech and Ana Pauls and Noche Latina Saturdays takes over the Epic Ballroom with DJ Duniel Juan and starring, from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Puerto Rican Jessica Wild. Doors open 1 hour early at 10pm for this special event. Come early as admission is only $10 before 11pm and $20 thereafter.

History Fort Lauderdale, proud steward of our community’s past by making our heritage accessible and engaging to residents and visitors, will present a free book signing and meet & greet with Mike McGinness and Jeff Davies, authors of “Florida: A History in Pictures,” today from 1– 3pm. Their appearance is part of History Fort Lauderdale’s “Florida Scribes & Stories,” a meet the author monthly series that offers literary and history enthusiasts a chance to speak with local authors, purchase their latest releases and have them signed. R House is opening their doors in the name of love this Valentine’s Day. Guests can look forward to a special “Disco Inferno Of Love” show with not-to-be-missed performances by producer and host, Athena Dion, and talented Juicy Love, British Jay Foxx, and the grand return of France Has Got Talent twin sisters, Oscar and Tiffany. The 19th Annual Miss and Mr. Noche Latina Pageant (Official Preliminaries to the Florida F.I. And M.E. Pageantry Systems) takes place on Monday, February 20 (President’s Day) at Lips – Fort Lauderdale with the theme of “Under the Sea”. The night will star Calypso Monroe Lords and Javier Rivera (Miss & Mr. Noche Latina 2022) as well as Juliana Rivera, Rolly Villaverde, Tasha Long and Tayanna Love (Miss, Mr, Supreme and At Large – The Florida court 2022/23), as well as plenty of the Noche Latina formers.
