While she’s found romantic bliss, Wilson is now hoping to help others find their next love — whoever they might be. Out actor and comedian Rebel Wilson is launching a new queer dating app called Fluid. The new mom co-founded the company and told People recently that she’s excited to be behind an inclusive dating app. Wilson, 42, said, “I Never Thought I Was 100 Percent Straight. This is the first dating app where you don’t have to actually define yourself or tick a box to say ‘I’m straight, I’m gay, I’m bisexual,’ and you don’t have to describe what you are looking for.”
She says this app allows users to love without labels. Both queer and straight people can use this app. The app will be available in the App Store later this month. Describing how the app works, Wilson told People that the algorithm picks up who the user is vibing with and how much time the user spends on certain profiles. If the sexuality of the user moves in a different direction, the app will follow as per the changed preferences.
She thinks that having to “categorize yourself” results in a gap in the dating app market.
