Pride Center’s Christopher Bates Discusses 30th Anniversary, Diversity Honors and Harvey Milk

Christopher H. Bates, Chairman of The Pride Center Board of Directors, is part of the team presenting the Diversity Honors awards on April 1 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. In a recent interview with Queer News Tonight, Christopher talked about the 30 years long journey of the Pride Center and the work it is doing for the community. The center has positively impacted 125,000 residents and visitors to South Florida with 35000 adults and youth attending the activities at the center. He also talked about the Diversity Honors and how it acknowledges members of the intentional, national, and local community who are working to improve the quality of life for all LGBTQ+ citizens. This year’s The Pride Center At Equality Park Alan Schubert Award will be given to Carol Moran. Tickets for the event are available at DiversityHonors.org.
