FLIFF (Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival) will present the world theatrical premiere of Séance With The Queens at Savor Cinema, 503 SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale. Beginning at 6pm, the screening will include a panel discussion with community leaders, followed by a reception in the courtyard. Séance With The Queens  presents the true story of SarahSpritual, a West Palm Beach psychic who joins forces with the scream queens from the “Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise and drag queens from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “Hocus Pocus 2” on a quest to heal a community threatened by hate. Primary Elections are today, and the polls are open from 7am to 7pm. I would NEVER tell anyone who to vote for, but I do urge everyone to use your constitutional privilege and vote!!

The GFLGLCC (Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce) presents their August Mixer at Pub on the Drive from 5:30 to 7pm. The event includes a complimentary welcome drink, Happy Hour Prices after that, complimentary passed hors d’oeuvres, and discounted Valet Parking. Hot Stuff

The Jon Sims Endowment Fund (JSEF) presented the first-ever “Excellence Award” to South Florida Pride Bands, Inc. during the recent 2024 Pride Bands Alliance conference in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to the prestigious award, the South Florida Pride Concert Band received a check for $2,500 in recognition of the nonprofit’s many accomplishments. The South Florida Pride Concert Band will host 2025 Pride Bands Alliance conference, themed “Something Wicked” in Fort Lauderdale from October 22- 27, 2025.
