The Trump administration’s Education Department has unveiled a controversial website for reporting alleged “illegal discriminatory practices” in schools. Critics say it’s a “snitch line” aimed at policing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts in public education. Moms for Liberty, labeled as an anti-LGBTQ extremist group, introduced the website in a press release celebrating its launch. Co-founder Tiffany Justice said,
“For years, parents have been begging schools to focus on teaching their kids practical skills like reading, writing, and math, instead of pushing critical theory, rogue sex education and divisive ideologies — but their concerns have been brushed off, mocked, or shut down entirely.”
She called on parents to submit evidence of what she called “betrayal” in public schools under past administrations. Ironically, the group that champions local school control is now helping Trump’s administration centralize power over education. Responding to the website, scientist and author Michael E. Mann wrote on social media,
“I believe Hitler had a program like this.”
Other critics also pointed to Moms for Liberty’s past ties to hate groups and their quoting of Hitler in newsletters. LGBTQ social justice activists criticized the move as another step to straight only and white only ideology.
