Disgraced gay former Republican Representative George Santos recently had a meltdown on ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored.’ The 37 year old convicted fraudster said,
“I am in the process of filling out an application for a pardon for the president. I’ll take the commutation, clemency, whatever the president is willing to give me. I don’t want this to seem like a political pitch. I want it to be a fair pitch. And I think [there is] no one better than President Trump to know what a weaponized Justice Department looks like. This is exactly it, seven years and three months in prison for a first-time offender over campaign matters, just screams over the top.”
He claims that the jail sentence would be harmful to his social standing and his family, and claims he helps support an autistic niece. He also expressed fear he would be harmed by immigrants while in prison in retaliation to his frequent and extreme anti-immigrant rhetoric. Santos was convicted of 23 federal charges of campaign fraud, and has admitted to lying about his education, his work experience, and his being Jewish.
