On Wednesday, July 30, from 12 PM to 2 PM, Holy Cross Health’s Community Health & Well-Being Department in Fort Lauderdale, FL, will host a powerful online webinar focused on “Trauma-Informed Care for LGBTQ+ Patients.” Presented in collaboration with Equality Florida, the session will be nationally available and is designed to help healthcare professionals recognize and address trauma that often shapes LGBTQ+ patients’ healthcare experiences.
The webinar will explore how past traumas—especially those experienced in medical environments—can impact patient trust, engagement, and health outcomes. Attendees will gain practical tools to reduce harm, support healing, and foster inclusive clinical spaces. Healthcare workers across all roles, from bedside care to administration and outreach, are encouraged to participate. Eligible attendees may earn 2.00 IPCE continuing education hours. This vital event will provide the skills and insight needed to help rebuild trust and offer truly patient-centered care for LGBTQ+ communities. More information will be available on holy-cross.com.
