South Florida Hosts “Breathing While Black & Trans” Launch Party, September 20.

The McKenzie Project Inc. will host the launch of “Breathing While Black & Trans,” a groundbreaking 4-part docuseries, on Saturday, September 20, from 4 to 10 PM at the Overtown Performing Arts Center in Miami. The event will celebrate and amplify the voices of Black transgender individuals in South Florida, highlighting powerful stories of survival, resilience, and healing.

The docuseries will shed light on lived experiences such as navigating homelessness and survival sex work in Miami. Guests will step onto a red carpet at 6 PM, followed by a cocktail hour at 7 PM. The premiere screening of the first episode will take place at 8 PM. Attendees are encouraged to “dress to impress” in shades of purple and to share the experience by inviting friends.
