Queer coming-of-age military show ‘Boots’ has been cancelled by Netflix. The show, which had premiered on October 9th, was based on Greg Cope White’s book “The Pink Marine.” Despite huge support for the show from the LGBTQ community, and vocal support from queer veterans, the show also received right-wing backlash. The Trump Administration issued a statement from The Pentagon. In the statement they said that officials “…will not compromise our standards to satisfy an ideological agenda, unlike Netflix whose leadership consistently produces and feeds woke garbage to their audience and children.”
