July 4th weekend ended with a packed Saturday night at Sidelines (see pictures in this week’s magazine) and a phenomenal T Cruise where the boat was sold out. Keep in mind that Peter Burke will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of the T Cruise August 2nd, but get your tickets now as this will surely sell out! After the cruise I went over to Scandals, who welcomed 99.9 KISS Country and their staff. They gave away lots of prizes, including 2 concert tickets to the Kenny Chesney concert. I ended the night with Ric Sena’s inaugural Alegria party in Fort Lauderdale, which did not disappoint. The party was held at Exit 66,and the boys were definitely out to play. Believe it or not, after a busy weekend I somehow found the energy to treck out on Monday to Alibi to see the one and only Lady Bunny, who as usual was hilarious. I heard her shows on Tuesday at Bill’s and Wednesday back at Alibi were just as good.
After going directly home from work Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday a couple of the Hotspots gang and some friends went to Zucherello’s for dinner. This is definitely one of our favorite places and some of the best Italian food around. On Friday I went to Bill’s for their monthly bear contest hosted by Miss Kitty. The finals will be September 11th where the winner will receive $1,000 in cash and a free cruise from Freedom Travel. Saturday night a few friends and I headed down to South Beach for the 2 year anniversary of Halo, which was so packed there was a 20 minute wait to get in. Congrats to Babek and Jason for creating such an original and successful establishment for the gay community and here’s wishing them many more years of success. Afterwards I went down the block to Score’s Bigger Saturdays, which featured the DJ debut premiere event of DJ William Umana who rocked the dance floor all night. I was there with my friends Harry D, Noel Leon and Nikki Whyte who was celebrating her birthday. A special thanks goes out to Asia Aviance at the door and host Michael Stanley for the VIP service!
