The entire weekend was the 5th anniversary of Scandals Saloon and Ken, Lloyd, Howard, Craig and the boys turned it out with events starting Thursday and going through Sunday night. I personally went by Saturday night to hang out and damn was the K-Mart parking lot packed. Once inside, it was wall to wall men.

Most of the times I go to Scandals it is busy, but damn this time you could hardly walk around. Congrats to the entire team for such a successful event and also to Mike Peterson who won the Absolutly Sexy Cowboy Contest. This weekend was also the 33rd annual Pridefest, which this year moved to Jaco Pastorius Park in the heart of Oakland Park. With tons of entertainment, vendors, and food, this 2 day festival which starts the season of Florida’s Pridefests was a huge success! Congrats to Jacqui, Marc and the entire board for a job well done.

WoofWares.com got tired of what they considered boring gay t-shirts and decided to remedy that situation! WoofWares isn’t a big corporate entity; quite the contrary, they are just two part timers enjoying the creative outlet, having fun and trying to pay the bills. They think someone needs to offer t-shirts that are as individually daring, bold, funny, campy, trashy, original, cool, sexually deviant and fabulous as you are! Whatever your mood, WoofWares has a t-shirt for the occasion (well, almost). Ok, they concede that some of their designs you won’t be wearing home for Thanksgiving. Some are downright nasty. And yes, some are stereotypically self-indulgent (but in a really well-designed way). Hey, if we can’t make a statement, or poke a little fun at ourselves to incite a little laughter, then the world would be . . . well, far less fabulous.

So enough of this meaningless drivel, go buy a t-shirt! Oh, and about their t-shirts: have you ever noticed that most t-shirt web sites never manage to talk about what they’re actually selling? They hate cheesy, flimsy, light-weight t’s. You know, the ones that you want to pitch after just one washing. Their standard-sized t-shirts are the good ones: a hefty, comfortable weave of 6.1 oz., 100% pre-shrunk cotton with seamless collars, shoulder-to-shoulder taping and double-needle stitching. Plus, their t-shirt’s are Oekotex Standard 100 certified — the world’s most prestigious eco-apparel designation, and your guarantee that no harmful chemicals or materials were used in the manufacturing process. So, what does all that mean? Well, better quality always looks better and lasts longer. And you get what you pay for. Enough said. To see and purchase their unique, ingenious and reasonably priced T-shirt go to WoofWares.com
