First to be served up, a toasty little favorite of yours and mine. “Loud,” the new album from Rihanna herself, speaks volumes about her new attitude and lyrics. The title track “Only Girl (In the World)” returns Rihanna back to her hard hitting bad girl vocals that made her famous, singing about her need for total devotion from her lover and how she wants her lover to make her feel like the only girl in the world (Honey, don’t we all!).

The hard hitting bass vibrates throughout and is only enhanced by Stargate’s mastering of electros with heart pounding synths that are almost never equaled. For all the dance divas out there (we know you are one) the original 126 bpm CD version is perfect. For those that really want to shake their groove thang, may I suggest DJ Ranny’s Club Mix? The style in this remix that makes it so special is the added FX, dripping with overflowing electro key backgrounds and a thumping bass put to 130 bpm. DJ Ranny puts the bad back into this bad girl’s bad ass single.

Island Def Jam Music Group (IDJMG) Chairman/CEO Antonio “L.A.” Reid says, “This is the truest Rihanna album yet because it sounds the most like her first one.” Reid continues, “[Her 2005 debut single] ‘Pon De Replay,’ that was obviously Rihanna at her purest, with that Caribbean-flavored dance-pop music.
