A Week of Birthdays

On Wednesday, Sept. 7th, Thx Mgmt proudly presents GLBT Bands: Hunx & His Punx, The Coathangers, Hungry Gayze and Michael Christmas all at the Crowbar. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Remember we don’t repeat gossip, so listen closely! It was a week of birthday – Kurt King, co-owner of Hamburger Mary’s and Bradley Nelson, owner of Bradley’s on 7th both on the same day! There was a huge party thrown by friends for Bradley. The food was catered by New York, New York Pizza. We understand that Mamma even got a couple good birthday spankings in. By the end of the night guests had lost count of the Ybor drink Mini Guineas. . .

People are Talking

Remember we don’t repeat gossip, so listen closely! It was a week of birthday – Kurt King, co-owner of Hamburger Mary’s and Bradley Nelson, owner of Bradley’s on 7th both on the same day! There was a huge party thrown by friends for Bradley. The food was catered by New York, New York Pizza. We understand that Mamma even got a couple good birthday spankings in. By the end of the night guests had lost count of the Ybor drink Mini Guineas. . .The Laughing Cat Restaurant put up their new sign. Since moving into their new location (old Streetcar Charlies Restaurant) last week they have been packed every night! . . .The Thursday Night party at The Social is even bigger than before! They have more A/C and huge fans were brought in. . .One of the craziest party spots in town is in the Social’s Basement . We all call it, “That 70s Place.” . . .

Sometimes naughty bois are nice. That’s just what happened at Liquid Lounge when Andre challenged everybody into one handed push up contest!. . .The creativity and entertainment at Tease and G.BAR keeps blowing us away! Saturday night there were Sumo Wrestlers at Tease and Neon Hitch at G.BAR – WOW, WOW, WOW! Starting this Saturday night G.BAR will have a New Drag Show starting at 10:30 with $1 drinks. . . The Happy Hour crowds at Bradley’s on 7th keep getting bigger and bigger. It’s easy to see why –they have hands down the best cold air conditioning in GaYBOR! You will need it for all the HOT dancers and great shows there. . .The television show, “Born to Ride” was caught in Ybor filming for their new season.. .Caught walking on the GaYBOR side streets were contestants from “So You Think You Can Dance!” . . .The writer and director of “Sordid Lives,” Del Shores was at Hamburger Mary’s for a dinner show. His one man theatrical production could easily make a trucker blush!. . .The new window dressings at The Honey Pot are done and OMG– WOW! Set designer Mathieu did it again. There are rumors going around that Hollywood is looking at Mathieu. . . Speaking of rumors, there is a lot of talk about a new leather bar and a new dinner restaurant coming to Ybor soon. With all the chatter of changes, what are you opinions on Bert & Ernie from Sesame Street getting hitched? People around the country are talking and we want to know! Until Next Week. . .
