Last Week in Review
Tuesday, was the bi-monthly Mack Lunch and this time it was held at The Outback on 17th street. The food and service were impeccable and to top it off I won a massage. Check out the next Mack Lunch in March as it will be their 7 year anniversary. Friday night some of the Hotspots team went down to Swinging Richards and boy we were impressed, not only by the sexy boys taking it off for our visual pleasure, but also by the amount of people they are getting.
Saturday was jam packed and started out at the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Wilton Bier Garden at 6 pm. For those of you who have not been there, this new Hotspot on the drive serve food and lots of beer and wines in a beautiful outdoor/indoor setting, so check it out!
Immediately afterwards I high tailed it to the Corey Boyd’s Kind Of A Drag at the Walt Lawrence and Stephen Lewis Center for Worship and the Arts which was a benefit for the Sunshine Cathedral and the Pantry of Broward. The show which was great played to a packed house. Congrats to Corey and his team for another fabulous production. Later that night I headed over to the Manor and the Noche Latina Lounge and Patio to see Viva’s final appearance as Miss Noche Latina and special guest Lorna Vando from Puerto Rico. They both turned out one of the best shows ever. As if I blinked, I was back at Manor at 1 pm on Sunday for the check presentation from the Smart Ride which raised over $650,000. Now that is an amazing feat. Congrats to Glenn W. and his entire team!
Sunday night I headed over to Bill’s for Misty Eyez’s annual birthday celebration at Trannie Palace, where she is the hostess. As usual they had a wall to wall crowd. Kudos to my friend Latrice Royal for performing one of my favorite songs and as usual turning it out! Check out Latrice on this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race starting in 2 weeks on LOGO!
