In Week 6, RuPaul turned back the clocks to the 80’s and the “Gurls” had to make a song entitled “Can I get an Amen” ala “We Are The World.” This task found Coco Montrese and the sweetest little southern girl to ever grace the RuPaul stage, Jade Jolie, in the bottom 2. Unfortunately it was Jade’s time to sashay away.

At what age did female impersonation become an interest & how did you pick your name?

I have always been interested; in 5th grade my friend and I dressed up and made videos. At 18 I started doing talent shows. I got my name from Mortal Combat (Jade) and Jolie because I love Angelina Jolie. I feel like she is the queen of all Queens.

How many times did you apply to be on RPDR and how did it feel when you found out you got chosen?

I applied twice and made it to the top 20 my fist year (last year), which put a fire in me to push myself. This year, when I did make it I was so excited.

Tell me about your RuPaul’s Drag Race experience.

I could never have imagined how much work goes into it. The days are really long, however, it was great being around so many fierce queens.

I would never trade it for anything as it pushed me to limits I didn’t know I had before. It has been the most amazing experience ever.

Who do you want to win?

I’m rooting for Jinx and CoCo, because they are so sweet. If I had to choose one, it would be Jinx.

Tell me about the man behind the performer.

Josh is actually pretty lazy and laid back and Jade is the party girl. Josh is usually playing video games and hanging with the husband.

Tell me something people would be surprised to know about you.

I grew up on a farm so I am pretty low maintenance and I can change tractor parts. There is a John Deere man underneath this beautiful exterior.

What’s ahead for you?

The Sky is the limit, so don’t count me out for anything. I am coming out with a web show soon and working on many other things.
