The Equality Park Garden Club, in conjunction with The Pride Center, is proud to announce the second annual Tropical Plant Fair on Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This two-day outdoor event on the grounds of The Pride Center (2040 North Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors) will include more than 60 plant vendors from around the state showcasing outstanding plants and related accessories for sale. Professional, and amateur gardeners and plant lovers are invited to attend this signature free event (including free parking).

Beautiful trees, flowering shrubs, cycads, tillandsias, tropicals, rare palms, and other exotics will be featured along with outstanding orchids, bromeliads, heliconias, and gingers, and are all available for sale. Information relating to landscaping, insect control, fertilizer and irrigation will be available from the Master Gardeners of Broward County. An additional half-dozen not-for-profit organizations will also participate. These include cat/dog rescue and adoption agencies, and Florida native plant societies.

Proceeds from this event will help in developing the proposed gardens at Equality Park as well as benefiting the many programs and services rendered to the community by The Pride Center.

This year they are adding a two-hour VIP reception on Friday, March 14th (6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.) with drinks, music and hors d’oeuvres. People attending the benefit will get to preview and buy plants before the general public.

The Garden Club and The Pride Center again invite the community to come out and show support for this special event, enjoy gourmet food (provided by Broward County Food Trucks), partake in multiple raffles and silent auctions, and listen to the tropical sounds of Hal Roland.
