Enjoy the beautiful view while dining at H2O Café
We are fans of H2O Café because its two places in one – there is a wonderful sidewalk café for dining and people watching and also a small coffee shop with java, smoothies, sandwiches, salads and baked goods for quick stops between enjoying the beach.
The establishment is housed in a charming art deco café originally built in 1937. There’s 85 items on their menu, so there really is something for everyone. And parking—which is often an issue by the beach—is a breeze as H2O has covered garage parking along the side street.
We started off our evening with cocktails—a mojito for him and a sangria for me—and also a bucket of the most buttery, delicious garlic bread. Our knowledgeable server, Andrew, helped
He brought us an appetizer of fish fried tacos ($11.95) which featured fried, breaded tilapia in a flour tortilla served with tartar sauce and pico de gallo. The fish had a nice crunch and was flaky inside—and the portion was large enough for a whole meal!
For a main course, we split the fettuccini Positano ($16.95) which had mixed mushrooms, asparagus, shrimp and cherry tomatoes in a cognac cream sauce. The cream sauce was wonderfully decadent and the flavors melded beautifully. It was heavenly.
We finished off with a slice of chocolate cheesecake and a cup of coffee—a wonderful, satisfying end to a fabulous meal.
It’s definitely worth it to stop by H2O Café—just a few blocks from the Sebastian Beach. It’s a great place to stop during the day with friends, for a romantic dinner date, and of course for a fun celebratory meal with your sibling!
