Revelation Too; An Annual Fundraiser for the Gamma Mu Foundation

Revelation Too, the highest-profile yearly fundraising event for the Gamma Mu Foundation, will be held on Saturday, January 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. The host hotel and venue is the Riverside Hotel, located at 620 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.

The Gamma Mu Foundation serves gay men and other segments of the LGBT community who come from “under-served” areas of the United States, which include impoverished communities and small towns in rural areas. They assist the LGBT community through direct grants which allow men to complete higher education, and they also provide HIV/AIDS services and other community services. According to the Gamma Mu Foundation, their vision is “the creation of an environment that promotes health, acceptance, and pride in the LGBT community and a more accepting and inclusive environment for people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.”

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail and networking reception. At 8 p.m., guests will be seated for dinner, followed by dancing in the hotel’s ballroom until closing hour. Business dress is requested, and black tie is considered optional.

Tickets are $275 per person and can be purchased online by going to gammamufoundation.org/newsevents/revelation, or by downloading the registration form, also on their website, and mailing it to the Gamma Mu Foundation, PO BOX 25320, Fort Lauderdale, ZIP code 33307-3520.

For people who wish to donate an extra amount, $500 per person or couple gives you the status of Silver Donor. $1,000 per person or couple is the Gold Level, and $2,000 is the Platinum Level. Any donations over $100 entitle you to an invitation to a special donor’s lunch on the day of the reception and gala.

The host hotel, the Riverside Hotel, has special rates for attendees, starting at $209 per night. Call (800) 325-3280 and ask for the Gamma Mu rate.
