January is Health and Fitness Month at Care Resource. In celebration, new clients can receive a free Body Mass Index (BMI) test, a pedometer, and information about the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans every Tuesday at Care Resource’s Midtown Miami Office located on 3510 Biscayne Boulevard, and every Wednesday at Care Resource’s Fort Lauderdale office located on 871 W. Oakland Park Boulevard between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. from Rigoberto Ng, Care Resource’s Nutritionist.

Rigoberto has over 22 years of experience in the field of dietetics and nutrition and has served as a nutrition consultant to various healthcare organizations. He has 9 years of Clinical Nutrition Management, having served as Clinical Nutrition Manager at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, and Cedars Medical Center, Miami Heart Institute, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Delray Medical Center in South Florida.
According to Steven Santiago, M.D., Medical Director at Care Resource, “This month is a time in which we encourage families across South Florida to trade time spent in front of the TV or computer for outdoor family activities as taking the step to get physically active with your family could be the beginning of a lifelong enjoyment of fitness.”
