A week ago Tuesday, Mack Planet had their monthly Fort Lauderdale mixer at Chima’s Brazilian Steakhouse and once again the Mack Mixer was packed with all the right people. On Thursday, Miami Beach Pride presented their Angels Soiree at Hotel Victor where Grand Marshall for this year’s Pride, Mario Lopez, was announced. Angels Soiree was hosted by NBC6’s Roxanne Vargas and Elaine Lancaster and featured Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine. Saturday night I made a hop around Wilton Manors. First stop was the busy Woof party at Hunters where I took many pics, but my favorite pic was taken right outside with a group of hotties (see pic). I then stopped by Progress bar as I had heard my buddy Albie (formerly of Alibi and Rumors) had recently taken the job of Logistics Manager/Events Coordinator and I wanted to wish him congrats. Afterwards I went to the Manor for their much talked about South Beach Pioneers Party which brought together many of the personalities/entertainers from South Beach in the 90’s. The night was hosted by Elaine Lancaster and starred DJ Power Infiniti, Daisy Deadpetals, Kitty Meow and Adora. As expected, the club was packed and the vibe was amazing! Over the weekend the 33rd annual FLIRT (Fort Lauderdale Invitational Regional Tournament), in association with the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO), took place at Sawgrass Lanes in Tamarac. Over 220 registered bowlers from across the US and Canada came together for three days of fun. When the tournament was over, they had a fabulous banquet.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish my good friend, Pompano Bill, Happy 89th.
