Alton Brown has been a recognizable face to foodies in America for years, and now he will be bringing an all-new tour to fans across the country, which he hopes will be his most exciting yet. Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour will be making six stops in Florida between February 3-8.

His first show will be at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Tuesday, February 3, at 7 p.m. His following shows take him to the Coral Springs Center for the Performing Arts in Coral Springs on Wednesday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m.; the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers on Thursday, February 5 at 7:30 p.m.; the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach on Friday, February 6 at 8 p.m.; the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando on Saturday, February 7 at 8 p.m.; and the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville on Sunday, February 8 at 7 p.m.

Alton Brown has become famous around the world for his cooking show Good Eats. Disheartened by the lack of history and science presented in cooking shows, Brown decided to create his own, which he described as a mix of “Julia Child, Mr. Wizard and Monty Python.” An instant success, the show ran for 14 years, from 1998-2012. He has also presented such shows as Iron Chef America and Cutthroat Kitchen for the Food Network.

This two-hour show builds on his previous tours, and is described as a mix of food experimentation, comedy, multimedia presentation, audience participation, and new to his tour this year, live music. If you’re lucky, Alton will pick you to come up on stage to be his “culinary assistant.” He recommends that you take the apron he offers you because you might make a mess!

Tickets are on sale right now for all performances. Prices for these shows start at $42.75 (Clearwater), $41.87 (Coral Springs), $39.63 (Fort Myers), $20 (West Palm Beach), $39.50 (Orlando) and $39 (Jacksonville). Tickets can be purchased by going directly to altonbrowntour.com and selecting the venue and date you wish to attend. Box offices for all venues will be open for at least one hour prior to each performance as well.
