The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida has brightened the lives of thousands across the Sunshine State, and that’s exactly what their mission is: to inspire audiences, to move spirits, to open minds, and to change hearts through their music. One of the Chorus’s signature series events for this year, a concert of feel-good classic tunes called “Let Music Live!”, will be presented at Sunshine Cathedral (1480 SW 9th Ave., Fort Lauderdale) on Friday, March 27 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 28 at 8 p.m.
“Let Music Live!” promises to be a jubilant, vibrant, beautiful and colorful presentation of the songs you fondly remember from yesteryear, delivered in two acts. The 175-member chorus will be singing together on many numbers, as well as in groups and a select few songs will be performed by soloists. This show, which promises to bring back many of the classics you’ve loved for a lifetime, is under the artistic direction of Gordon Roberts, the holder of the John C. Graves Maestro’s Chair and a Juilliard-trained arranger and composer.
