Nicaragua se encuentra localizada en Centroamérica y es uno de los países de la zona que disfruta de una subida del turismo debido a unas décadas de paz y más estabilización que sus vecinos. Oficialmente conocido como La República de Nicaragua, su capital es Managua, una ciudad de unos 1,5 millones de habitantes. El país se divide en 17 provincias y tiene una población de más de 6 millones de habitantes de acuerdo al censo del año 2016.
Nicaragua logro su independencia de España el 14 de septiembre de 1821. Es un país completamente liberal el cual le da cobijo a toda raza de creencia y costumbre. Sin embargo el matrimonio de las parejas del mismo sexo no está legalizado pero la comunidad LGBT no cesa su lucha por lograr dicha meta desde el año 2008. La comunidad nicaragüense es única, se distingue por muchas cualidades pero entre ellas está la más importante- el respeto a los derechos humanos ya que es un país completamente democrático y de libre expresión.
Cuando visites Nicaragua no puedes dejar de visitar los siguientes cuatro lugres mágicos, llenos de coloridos paisajes y arquitectura particular.
El primero es Moyogalpa. Su localidad más importante y puerta de acceso corresponde a Moyogalpa, un pueblo que, sí es pequeño, pero cuenta con una amplia oferta turística con hoteles, restaurantes, bares y otros servicios. Desde el lugar fácilmente se llega a todos los parajes de la isla, entre los cuales figuran los bosques de la Reserva Natural de Charco Verde, el pintoresco pueblo de Altagracia y playas rodeadas de exuberante vegetación y ricas en biodiversidad de aves como Santo Domingo.
El Segundo lugar a visitar es la ciudad de Granada. Uno de los más fascinantes lugares turísticos de Nicaragua, Granada es una ciudad de disfrutar caminando entre hermosas arquitecturas coloniales y neoclásicas, la mayoría hoy restauradas y transformadas en restaurantes y hoteles. Sumado al atractivo de sus arquitecturas, Granada encanta con sus entornos naturales, figurando escenarios como el Lago Cocibolca con sus 360 pequeñas islas de origen volcánico y el Parque Nacional Volcán Mombacho, con exuberantes paisajes tropicales y vistas privilegiadas en altura hacia la ciudad.
El tercer lugar impresionante es la maravillosa Catedral de León. Ubicada en la ciudad universitaria de León, la ciudad segunda más grande del país, la Catedral es un lugar que no puedes perder. También conocido como La Basílica Catedral de la Asunción de León, fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. En sus alrededores destacan las Ruinas de León Viejo, una de las primeras ciudades coloniales españolas del continente Americano.
El cuarto lugar es el imponente Volcán Masaya. Este volcán forma parte de un parque nacional y es clasificada como un volcán activo con su última erupción en el año 2012. Está localizado en Masaya, una ciudad a unos 20 km al sur de la capital de Managua. La ciudad de Masaya es rica en manifestaciones culturales y tradiciones artesanales que cuenta con un centro histórico bastante interesante por su cantidad de antiguas iglesias y algunas construcciones coloniales aun preservadas. También son atractivos su antigua Fortaleza de El Coyotepe en lo alto de una colina y el Malecón de Masaya desde donde se obtienen vistas privilegiadas hacia el Parque Nacional Volcán Masaya. El mayor atractivo de la ciudad lo constituyen sus entornos naturales, entre los cuales destacan tanto El Parque Nacional Volcán Masaya con su imponente volcán siempre humeante.
En tu estadía en Nicaragua no puedes dejar de degustar sus platillos tradicionales en cual han ganado premios internacionales en conferencias gastronómicas alrededor del mundo. Estos platos hacen la gastronomía nicaragüense única. Nicaragua is located in Central America and is one of the countries in that area that has enjoyed a spike in tourism due to decades of peace making the country more stable than its neighbors. Officially known as The Republic of Nicaragua, its capital is Managua, a city of about 1.5 million inhabitants. The country is divided into 17 provinces and has a population of more than six million inhabitants according to the census of 2016.
Nicaragua achieved independence from Spain on September 14, 1821. It is a completely liberal country which gives shelter to every race of belief and custom. However, marriage of same-sex couples is not legalized, but the LGBT community has not stopped fighting to achieve this goal since 2008. The Nicaraguan community is unique, distinguished by many qualities but among them is the most important- Respect for human rights since it is a completely democratic country and allows free speech.
When you visit Nicaragua you cannot miss these four magical places which are full of colorful landscapes and incredible architecture.
First on the list is Moyogalpa. It´s most important locality and gateway is village of the same name that is small but has a wide range of tourist facilities including hotels, restaurants, bars and other services. From there you can easily reach all hottest spots on the island, including the forests of the Charco Verde Nature Reserve, the picturesque village of Altagracia and beaches, such as Santo Domingo, which are surrounded by lush vegetation and rich in biodiversity of birds.
The second place to visit is the city of Granada. One of the most fascinating tourist places in Nicaragua, Granada is a city to enjoy by walking between beautiful colonial and neoclassical buildings, most of which are now restored and transformed into restaurants and hotels. In addition to the attractiveness of its architecture, Granada enchants with its natural surroundings, including scenarios such as Lake Cocibolca with its 360 small islands of volcanic origin and the Mombacho Volcano National Park, with lush tropical landscapes and privileged views of the city.
The third impressive place is the wonderful Cathedral of Leon. Located in the university city of Leon, the second largest city in the country, the Cathedral is a place you can´t miss. Also known as The Basilica Cathedral of the Assumption of Leon, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In its surroundings, find the ruins of Leon Viejo or Old Leon, one of the first Spanish colonial cities of the Spanish Main.
The fourth place is the imposing Volcano Masaya. This volcano is part of a national park and is classified as an active volcano with its last eruption in 2012. It is located in Masaya, a town about 20 km south of the capital of Managua. The city of Masaya is rich in cultural manifestations and artisanal traditions and has a very interesting historical center because of its number of old churches and colonial buildings, some of which are still preserved. Another great place is the old fortress of El Coyotepe located on the top of a hill, as well as the Malecon of Masaya from where you get privileged of the Volcano Masaya National Park. The main attraction of the city is its natural surroundings, among which is the National Park Masaya Volcano with its imposing volcano that is always smoking.
If you visit Nicaragua, you must taste their traditional dishes which have won international awards in gastronomic conferences around the world. These dishes make Nicaraguan gastronomy unique.
