This is HOT

Comedian Guy Branum (The Mindy ProjectChelsea Lately) is back with 16 all new episodes of his outrageous mashup comedy series Talk Show the Game Show, premiering with back-to-back episodes on February 1 at 10:30 p.m. on truTV. Based on Branum’s popular live comedy show, the series is a boisterous combination of two beloved television formats that pits celebrities against each other to vie for the title of “Best Guest of the Night.”

Each week, guests come to play, not plug, scoring points every time they complete a well-known talk show trope. At 10:30 p.m., actresses Melissa Joan Hart and Caroline Rhea have a mini-Sabrina the Teenage Witch reunion. And at it’s regularly scheduled time at 11 p.m., comedian Colin Quinn and NBA legend Charles Barkley trash-talk their way through the competition. Also returning this year are the series’ comedic panel of judges including Emmy Award-winning writer and host of the popular podcast “My Favorite Murder,” Karen Kilgariff, and author and journalist Casey Schreiner. The judges give the real-time reactions we all want during a talk show appearance: roasting mediocre guests and applauding what the best guests did right.
