‘Drag Race’ Season 10: Ru’s Final Four

Episode 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10 got off to a fast start with Ru informing the remaining four queens that there would only be a Maxi Challenge this week — a single test that would determine which of them would make the Top 3.

Ru then went on to explain that they would have to employ their Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent as they perform to her new song entitled “American.” Each girl would also have to write and record her own solo verse and perform challenging choreography by the one and only Todrick Hall.

As if that wasn’t difficult enough, they also would all have to make a guest appearance on Ru’s podcast with Michelle Visage.

The runway theme for the week was Eleganza Extravaganza, and the looks were fierce.

Aquaria wore a traditional evening gown with an Aquarian flare (think: a little nudity, in all the right places). Asia worked an Egyptian gown in Tiffany blue and gold (think: Queen Tut reborn).

Kameron chose a nude-illusion AB-stoned gown in lavender (looked GORG). And last, but not least, Eureka turned out a white, beaded gown with the word ‘Eureka’ emblazoned on the front and… its definition spelled out on the back. For a hat, she wore a book decorated with light bulbs, explaining that when Thomas Edison discovered electricity, he cried out “Eureka.”

Ru then asked each queen two questions, as she normally does at this point in the show. The first was: What advice would you give your younger self if you could? The answers were all real and emotional.

The second question was: Why should you be crowned America’s Next Drag Superstar? The four answers were all very different — and all very good, each girl’s personality shining through on her response.

The competition was so tight, Ru decided to eliminate… nobody.

So, there will be a Top 4 vying for the crown during the finale in two weeks. (Next week is the reunion show.)

Since I’ve done these exit interviews for years, people are always asking me who I think will win. Check out next week’s Hotspots as I rank the four survivors and spell out in print (not beads) who I think will win…and who I want to win.
