Is Your Pet a Fashion Victim?

Dressing up our beloved animals is increasingly popular these days. Most of the time they look adorable, but to honest sometimes they like scared to death! So is it a good idea? Well, yes and no—it depends on several key factors.

Number one is temperament. You know your pet better than anyone. I for one can say that my cats are sweet, but I would end up looking like a Freddy Kruger victim if I tried to dress them up. Does that make them nudists?

Bur if you think your animal exhibits the personality to get all dolled up and there are no hazards in the outfit, I say go for it! Hazards include anything that could get wrapped too tightly or accessories that they could choke on. The main thing for you to remember is to always keep in mind the comfort and well-being of your pets.

Three legit reasons to dress your pets include:

Cold weather: Although we don’t have to worry about that too much in Florida, although small Chihuahuas do tend to get cold—pobrecitos!

Anxiety: This is a trend I keep seeing and it makes sense. A snug-fitting vest gives your dog a sense of security and can be soothing, especially during thunderstorms or loud fireworks.

Halloween: OMG, I almost forgot… gay Christmas! We are a culture of celebrants, and our dogs will be included in that celebration, regardless. You might need a lot of tricks and treats to get them to dress up though.

One thing to keep in mind when picking the next Dolce & Gabbana frock for your pet is the material. Cotton is the perfect choice, while wool can be itchy. Also, the better the fit, the happier the dog. If you have doubts, you can read reviews online. Let’s get styling pet lovers!
