Ingredients
1-2 Skirt Steaks
¼ – ½ cup of dark brown sugar
¼- ½ cup of soy sauce
4 cloves of garlic
2 green (or spring) onions, chopped (for garnishing)
¼ – ½ teaspoon of ginger
¼ – ½ teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
Sesame seeds (for garnishing)
¼ – ½ cup of sesame oil
¼ cup of olive oil
2-4 cups of freshly made white rice
Directions
Slice the skirt steak into bite-size strips and set aside. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic cloves, ginger, and pepper. In a saucepan or skillet over medium heat, cook the skirt steak just until done. Add the mixture of oil and spices. Continue to sauté for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add a healthy amount of rice to your plate and top with some of the beef. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
