Disney Goes Gay Again in 2022

Gay Disney weekend has been missed by the Florida community for the last two years, but I am happy to report we are all getting back to normal, and the proof is that the Gay Disney schedule is set for the major players for 2022. Read on to find out all the details.

Gay Days

Gay Days is excited to host Gay Days 2022 as they return to the heart of Orlando and onto International Drive at The Avanti Palms Resort May 31^st – June 6^th, 2022. Although Gay Days had looked forward to hosting events in both 2020 & 2021, the decision was made, for the health and safety of guests and staff, to cancel their events. Gay Days offered full refunds to its guests as they wanted to ensure that none of its guests were struggling financially because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The Avanti Palms Resort and Convention Center, the newest home for Gay Days, has one of the best pools that Gay Days attendees will be able to party to with DJs from all over the country till 2am. In addition to the beautiful pool, The Avanti Palms Resort also has a large convention space, which will house the annual expo and additional events throughout the week. Gay Days is looking to take their new home and “re-imagine” some of their specialty events in order to bring it’s guests a new twist on events outside of the pool parties.

Guests have the ability to book rooms on Gaydays.com for either the buildings surrounding the pool or in the 13-story tower which has views of Orlando, and Universal Studios. Rooms at Gay Days are already selling out from guests that had booked for the prior two years!

Gay Days Expo – Taking place Thursday thru Sunday, experience one of the largest Gay & Lesbian Expos in the world featuring of businesses from all over the world! Showcasing a variety of goods and services. Over 20,000 attendees, over 100 booths, giveaways, AND free prize raffles. The expo is open through Sunday.

Taste of Gay Days – On Thursday, June 2, one of the tastiest annual events returns! Enjoy samplings from local restaurants, exciting beverages, and live entertainment! Note: This is not intended to be a dinner, just light bites and drinks.

Drag Queen Bingo – on Friday, June 3 – Family friendly event Drag Bingo! Join all the fun of bingo with a twist! All the fun of bingo and all of the fun of a Drag Show mixed together. Soon we will announce this year’s host!

Mr. Gay Days Leather – returns for its 4^th year, and for those of you who haven’t been this is a fun contest even for those of us who are vanilla. This ism a preliminary to Mr. IML in Chicago.

Miss Gay Days – This pageant has been going on since 2008 and includes formers such as: Coco Montrese, Tiffany McCray, Alisa Summers, Harmony Breeze, Imani Valentino, Alexis Mateo, Naliyah Brooks, Chantel Reshae and your current Miss Gay Days Twila Holiday.

OMW returns from June 2^nd to the 6th, and will be celebrating the 30th year that the LGBTQ+ Community has journeyed to Orlando to freely express themselves. One Magical Weekend will kick-off June Pride Month with international DJs, spectacular nightly events & daytime pool parties where everyone is welcome at the most MAGICAL place on Earth; Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney World Resorts!

Their host hotel, is once again, the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista (12205 S Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32836) , where rooms start at only $179 a night (3 night minimum).

Therapy Pool Parties – (Hotel Guests get in free) The parties take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday alongside – and in – the two sprawling pools, and bring the concept of “pool party” to a whole new level. Riptide at Typhoon Lagoon – For one night, Friday, June 3, 8pm to 2am, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark becomes entirely yours for the party of the year. DJ’s Edgar and Oscar Velazquez will keep you dancing all night long. The weekend’s signature event once again washes ashore Disney’s entire 52-acre fantasy water park, where 6,000 party animals clad in little more than a bathing suit thrill to dancing, amazing water rides, or chill out inside this sprawling theme park. BACK FOR 2022 are two rides open all night. Board Miss Adventure Falls treasure raft and Crush “n” Gusher water-coaster. It’s no wonder Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark is known around the world. Gear up and get ready to show your true colors with DJ Paulo! With heart thumping sound and euphoric visuals, grab your friends and make sure you are all in the Dress code: Show your RED Athletic Spirit.

Wig Party – Get ready to strike a POSE and let your inner diva run WILD at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort for a closing Sunday T-Dance party not-to-be-missed on Sunday, June 5, from 9pm to 1am! Whether you prefer a short bob, or a full blow out, rock your favorite wig and join all the diva’s on the dancefloor with the sounds of DJ Twisted Dee! Heels & harnesses are not necessary, but they are more than welcome at WIG party! Come to slay! Tens across the board henny!

Cadabra After Hours – June 3, 4 and 5. The Magic continues into the late hours as One Magical Weekend presents a series of After-hour Dance Parties: a sensual musical journey just for you at Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort. Cadabra presents a world class dance extravaganza with a DJ line-up of only the very best. Welcome to Cadabra… the ONLY Afterhours to be held in Orlando during this weekend. Cadabra nights are 21+.

Tidal Wave Party 14: Jocks, Jerseys, and Bears

Celebrating its 14^th year, Tidal Wave Party is the premier, inclusive event for bears, cubs, chubs, chasers, and their admirers. Tidal Wave Party provides a safe, welcoming 4-day event to kick off pride month from June 2-6, 2022, in Orlando. The 4-day event will include Host/Overflow hotels, Live DJs, Day and Evening Poolside Events, Live Entertainment, Karaoke, Bear Bingo, Vendor Fair, and the Bear Lagoon during RIPTIDE at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark. Girls in Wonderland

In 2022, their dates are June 2nd – 5, and their host hotel will be the Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration 2900 Parkway Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747. That’s all the info they have for 2022, However, they are having a 2021 celebration and here’s that info: Girls In Wonderland 2021 – October 14th -17^th – Celebrating their 20th Year Anniversary at the Grand Orlando Resort at Celebration, where room start at $129 a night and include pool party passes. The weekend long event will include dance parties, pool parties, live music, comedy shows, after-hours parties and thousands of lgbtq women and their allies celebrating in Wonderland!
